Mick, a potential show jumping pony, is most likely a thoroughbred/ pony cross. This pony is alert and loves to please. There is great potential as he jumps with great scope and moves very well. He has shown that there are plenty to come and we believe he will do well both as a show jumper and an eventer.
We are currently schooling Mick over both show jumping and XC fences. He is very honest and is a very fast learner. Our pony rider has been to a few pay and jumps with good results and will shortly start going to bigger shows with Mick.
Mick has a very nice temperament and he is so very kind to handle. There are never any issues with grooming, clipping, washing, shoeing or loading. Mick goes out in the field alone or with other horses, he is one of those that just float around without causing any upset and when you want him he is easy to catch. He travels well and keeps his calm when ridden in new places.
We believe Mick would suit competitive teenager who would like to go up through the grades.
Lux Z Boy a 5yr old (*2013) bay Gelding by Lux Z – Cavalier Royale 165cm.
Lux Z Boy is a real looker with his white blaze and deep bay colour. He continues to impress with fabulous flowing movements and a very scopey jump. In addition he is very careful and loves to clear his fences. Furthermore he rides in a nice outline and would do a good dressage test.
We always attempt to school over a variety of fences both show jumps and across country hence we go to a selection of outdoors and indoors venues with different fences. By doing this, Lux Z Boy is continuously subjected to a huge selection of “looky looky” fences such as water complexes, ditches, water trays etc etc. This is proving to us again and again that he is focused on the task and does not easily get distracted. The willingness to learn and the great trust in the rider makes his potential and scope for jumping and eventing very high.
This glorious horse has started his showjumping career very well. He has already clocked up 16 SJI points to date. This feat has been done in very few shows. We are currently jumping at 1.10m level and are looking to move up shortly. We are in no hurry with this horse as we believe there are great things to come. Following link brings you to his Showjumping Ireland page where you can find his show jumping results.
This horse is an absolute saint to handle! Working with him and around him is a joy and it feels safe and easy. All aspects included such as loading, washing, clipping, shoeing, grooming etc, there is nothing that presents as a problem. He is also an easy catch in the field. Lux Z Boy is an alert horse that responds well but even though he has the necessary spark to shine in the show ring he still keeps calm and makes no big deal of going to shows or new places schooling.
Showjumping is a given for this talented horse. However it is our belief that because of his versatility he would be very well suited as an event horse. During XC schooling he shows his bravery and straight forwardness along with great scope. A horse that takes it all in his stride and definitely has a huge talent for the sport.
The very best of Thoroughbred bloodlines turned eventer.
Barry Mac (165cm) was born in 2006 at Ballinacrow stud in Ireland.
He is by Acclamation- Shamata – Cadeaux Genereux. He certainly has a blue blooded pedigree and has indeed got relatives in very high places. He was retired from racing sound, and he has remained sound for the duration. He is perfectly suited as an eventer.
Barry Mac has been trained for Dressage and Eventing and would suit very well for eventing. He is willing and very able to jump. He moves very well and is easy to ride in a nice outline. Barry has a very trainable temperament and is a perfect Gent to handle. He loads easy and is very laid back when it comes to farrier, clipping, washing grooming etc. Barry is also easy to catch in the field.
