Bulmers – All you ever wished for in a horse but only could find in ponysize.
Dalsown Doethie or Bulmers, as she is known as to her friends, is a 16hh mare born in 2015. She is out of Dalsown Evalina who in turn is by the Thoroughbred stallion Nigrasine (GB) out of a Baloubet de Rouet mare. This mare is in turn out of a King of Diamonds mare. The King of Diamonds who is a true legend in Irish breeding. This bottom line is truly visible in Bulmers – she jumps with a great technique and lot of scope.
Bulmers is by the Connemara stallion Abbeyfield Comet (Tara Hill Stud), he is a 15’3 dun stallion who goes back to the legendary Carna Bobby no less than 4 times. This is the Connemara stallion, that more or less guarantees ability to jump.
The combination of the native traits of the Connemara and the athletic abilities of the modern Sport horse warrants for a rideable horse with potential for hours of fun yet scope enough to go further, a lot further…. This horse has really got it all – she is a genuine sweet girl with ability for the big time.
Going to School with Bulmers
Bulmers was broken to ride here with us in Ireland and has since taken part in pony club camps doing everything from dressage to cross country and showjumping. She has also hunted and is good with hounds. Bulmers is a straight forward ride, looks at nothing and jumps what you point her at weather it is a showjumping or a cross country fence. Dalsown Doethie also works in a beautiful outline with 3 flowy extravagant paces, which does produce a fab dressage test.
Needlessly to say she does hack out nicely both on her own and in company.
In the stable
This girl is as fabulous inside the stable as outside. She is the little puppy dog that thrives on the attention you give her. Whatever you want to do, she is up for it (clipping, washing, shoeing, grooming or loading into a trailer).
This horse has some real scope and would suit well as a junior / yr eventer. She would also do well as an all round competition companion.
Dalsown Doethie could also be suitable as a riding school horse.
