Breeding of Moyglass Jack
Goodluck VDL is a very interesting stallion truly bred in the purple, leading a competitive career with James Billington in the saddle. Further back in his breeding you will find greats such as Quidam de Revel, Jus de Pommes, Cassini (Wow what a horse) and finally Lord (HOLST) the seriously prolific Ladykiller – Cottage Son stallion who sired no less that 175 approved stallions and 26 horses competing at 160 level. To top it off another 6 competing at Grand Prix level Dressage, eventing not accounted for. As a sire Goodluck VDL certainly does not disappoint. We have had some lovely young horses by him and they all can jump and they all have a very sweet temperament. Some of his offspring have been aimed at young horse competitions and done very well but are still too young to have reached the big time.
On the dam side we find Crosstown Dancer, a beautiful stallion with plenty of scope. He has produced top level performers both in show jumping and Eventing. He goes back to King of Diamonds which means jumping ability. We also find Coille Mor Hill, a son of Clover Hill, who himself jumped at 160 level. He has passed on his ability to jump, with several offspring competing at the very top level of show jumping. The breeding of Moyglass Olive is traditional Irish. Her breeding is a proven Emerald recipe for how to produce offspring that are rideable and can jump with great courage and scope.
The result is just what it says on the box! A horse that can jump (jump really well), with plenty of courage, easy to ride and a breeze to care for.
Moyglass Jack
This beautiful horse has been carefully produced by the breeder and they have done a fabulous job with him. Jack has been given time to mature and there has been no rush. He is coming along nicely and is a treat to ride and is easy to get into a good shape with three lovely paces. This horse has a huge jump with plenty of scope and is well used to a both show jumps and cross country fences and happily jumps both. Hacks out alone and in company and is easy to do in all ways.
Moyglass Jack is now ready for the next chapter in his life and is looking for a rider to join him on the journey to the top.
