Cloneenagh Golden Girl or Goldie for short

Over the last few years Goldie has matured and shot up to become a full up 148 cm pony with a lot of potential. She has been expertly brought on by our very own Rhia who has now sadly fallen for the pony age cut off point. Rhia has taken her time and let her beautiful pony mature and grow. She has forfeited a competitive career and focused on training and schooling and has done a wonderful job. However sad the time has come to let this pony shine. She deserves a rider who would love to compete, either show jumping or eventing, and are looking at jumping bigger classes. This pony has a whole lot of potential and is keen to jump. Whether you are keen on show jumping or if cross country is your thing, Goldie has the courage, determination and scope to take you up through the classes. Cloneenagh Golden Girl is born in 2017, measuring 144.5 (as a 3yr old) without shoes. She is by Hilltop Buck, a lovely son of the famous Tulira Robuck. On the damside we find Lacken Pearl by Ashfield Echo I Love You who goes back to Ashfield Sparrow, a stallion found in many sport ponies over the years. Lacken Pearl is out of Walsh’s Lass who in turn goes back to a stallion called Dale Haze who won several Supreme Championships at Swedish breed shows. He was a prolific stallion and bred many fabulous Connemaras. He also competed successfully at an advanced level in both show jumping and eventing.

This pony really has a heart of gold, she is very easy to handle and has not got a bad bone in her body. Everything is easy which includes everything from clipping, farrier, catching in the field, water etc. We have to date loose jumped her and she is showing great talent, jumping with fabulous technique and masses of scope. We are also starting the process of breaking her to ride and she is just fabulous. Very kind and learning so quickly.

Future

This wonderful young pony has a bright future, that is for sure! She does excel at jumping and has what it takes to go far. Looking at her pedigree, this is her job. She would either go down the route of show jumping or eventing and will make her rider very proud. The temperament of this pony makes her ideal for bringing on together with a child, one to grow up together with.
