Breeding of Diamond Lass
Diamond Lass goes back to King of Diamonds on her damside, this is Irish for ability to jump a fence. What is interesting about the breeding of this mare is that the dam side of both the sire and the dam have produced horses for top sport.
Olijfje, the dam of Tjipke, is also the dam of Bonne Chance CW, a mare that together with Jannica Sprunger competed successfully up to the very top level of Show jumping.
Gentle Lassie, the dam of Porland Diamond, produced Kilrodan Abbott, a gelding that competed at the very top level of eventing (Olympics and Kentucky included).
Damlines are ever so important for the outcome, in this case it all shines through. Diamond Lass is truly a diamond.
