Foxhall Dragonfly is a gelding born in 2014, he measures 148cm (14’2). This pony can definitely fly and he loves it! He has a brilliant technique and lots of scope. He combines this talent with a fabulous true Irish temperament and he keeps his cool even in new situations. Looking like a mini Milton (for all you youngsters that has not seen this wonderhorse look for videos of John Whitaker and Milton) he definitely does not disappoint. This boy will go far!!
A Dragonfly in training
This pony is being carefully brought on and is given the time to mature whilst doing fun things like hunting and hacking as well as being schooled. He has been to different venues both for show jumping and cross country training and he is loving it. Nothing is too scary or weird, you aim he jumps.
We are hacking out with Dragonfly both alone and in company and he is regularly ridden by children alongside being schooled by grownups.
In the stable
In the stable Dragonfly has a lovely kind temperament. He enjoys all aspects of grooming including washing, clipping, getting new shoes and being loaded into a trailer or a lorry. He is also easy to catch in the field.
Future
We believe that Foxhall Dragonfly has got great potential and will go far show jumping with a competitive rider, he may even go all the way. This pony is also a nice and sensible ride which makes him a lovely pony for almost any young aspiring rider.
